Fellow SAV Friends,
The Mapping/Monitoring SAV COP periodically holds virtual workshops to get together and share knowledge on emerging topics and issues we’ve heard from the community. On Tuesday, July 23rd at noon ET/9 am PT we are hosting another informal gathering of like minded folk, like yourself, to talk and share information around In-Water SAV Field Monitoring Techniques.
We’ll have a panel of speakers from a variety of existing monitoring programs across the US (Chesapeake Bay, Indian River Lagoon, northern Gulf of Mexico, and Padilla Bay), who will share their experiences and offer advice based on your program’s needs. Whether you’ve been doing this for a while or are just getting started, we hope that you will join us and share your knowledge and experience. We’re going to touch on different environments (turbid, deep, shallow, clear, etc) and methods to overcome challenges, as well as sampling approaches, metrics, and how the data being collected will be used.
To facilitate a productive gathering we ask that you pre-register here Meeting Registration - Zoom
Please forward to anyone interested- fellow SAV colleagues, technicians, students, etc (and make sure they have also joined us on this Discourse Community!)
We hope to see you there!
Dottie, Dave and Mark
